Our Partners

Surprising, inspiring, different. Framepool stands for top content. But—where is it from? International recognized filmmakers, award-winning production companies, and major film archives. In short, we work with the greatest suppliers we can imagine.

15 years ago, a small team of filmmakers went into the market with a new stock footage agency. Their concept of “quality over quantity” quickly became popular amongst colleagues—creating a momentum which helped Munich based Framepool to compete against the big international footage companies. Now, we are able to proudly present you with one of the biggest portfolios of today’s market. But regardless of international expansion, character and quality are still our main priority. With the growing influence of digitization we especially value the trusted and personal relationships with our clients and colleagues—a quality that sets us apart from many others.

Quality above all

Our footage partners work with us, because we treat their valuable film material with respect. We hand pick the best material and take our time to log each shot with quality keywording in several languages. All selected footage can be licensed via the Framepool webshop 24/7. Our partners appreciate the high standards of secure data storage on constantly upgraded servers and that we go the extra mile by storing not only color corrected shots but also their raw format originals. All part of the service.

That - and the fact that we're really nice guys! - is why today we represent more than 800 reputable footage licensors from all over the world. Here are some of them:
Aerovista (DE) • Amana Images (JP) • Animals on Blue (GB) • April Film (SE) • Dennis Welsh Photography (US) • Dillies Video (FR) • Gérard Lacz Images (FR) • Gogol Lobmayr (DE) • Index Stock Shots (GB) • Johnér Images (SE) • Langbein& Partner Media (AT) • Michael Magee Poductions (CH) • National Filmboard of Canada (CA) • Natural History New Zealand (NZ) • Omnimovi (GB) • Reda Archives (US) • Robberechts& Co (BE) • Russian Footage (RU) • Sandra Kulbach (DE) • Science Vision Filmproduktions (AT) • Seven Networks (AU) • Shields Pictures (US) • Sterman Aerial Photography (US) • Studio Hamburg (DE) • Subimagery Didier Noirot (FR) • Tom Campbell's HD Productions (US) • Viking Film (DE) • Wilderness Video (US) • and many many more...

Creative Footage

Elaborate animation at your fingertips

Creative concepts for the illustration of medical subjects, for example animations, are a frequent request at Framepool. However, most often budgets do not allow individual animation production. That’s where we come in—take a tour with our nano-bots riding through capillary systems, or have a look at dancing skeletons and other great medical footage from our extensive collection.

Editorial Footage

One man’s curse is another man’s blessing

Oil is at an all time low right now. And will probably stay so way for a while: according to the oil organization OPEC, low rates will remain a topical issue for centuries. So there is plenty of time and lots of uses for our versatile footage of conservative and alternative energy production, for example:

Party down with BMW

The Bayerischen Motoren-Werke (BMW) celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2016! Festivities start on March 7th, with the opening ceremony of a new “old” location, which is of high interest to fans of historic cars and motor cycles: the first ever BMW factory has returned to its original owner and the company plans to utilize the property as a new museum and corresponding film archive for the “BMW Group Classic”. There are many events planned throughout the coming year—so how about taking a trip to Munich and stopping by to say hello? Framepool presents:
Spot of the month

If superstar quarterback Peyton Manning was really involved in surreptitious advertising for Budweiser after he won the Super Bowl, we are not here to judge. But we can't deny that Anomaly, NY, has created a most fantastic Super Bowl spot for Budweiser as seen right during the transmission of the most expensive Super Bowl of all times. And we're right in the middle! At least our shot of a container ship is.

Good to know - Legal conditions when shooting drone footage
Airspace ≠ Legal Vacuum

We continue to receive numerous inquiries about drone footage featuring breathtaking manoeuvres. For example: circling just above the heads of people at events, shooting through the air between skyscrapers, interfering with flowing traffic on a busy freeway or chasing extreme sports athletes from just a couple of inches behind their back.

Cool shots, but often impossible to get, as production procedures tend to be illegal in many cases. There are good reasons why shooting such footage is limited by law, as we just experienced at the Alpine Skiing World Cup in Italy, when a drone crashed by a hair's breadth into one of the champion skiers. (Photo: ORF)

At the moment, the rules for operating UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) vary not only from country to country, but can also differ regionally. Filming drone operators will need more than talent and technical know-how: a valid pilot license, as well as shooting permits and an extensive liability insurance.

These days, the legal requirements change daily, so filmmakers need to be up-to-date on the rules before conducting a shoot with a camera carrying drone. Framepool offers you pre-produced, stress-free drone aerials that can tell your story without any risk. Here are some samples:
